Two is better than one

"I remember what you wore on our first day. You came into my life and I thought hey, you know this could be something. Cause everything you do and words you say, you know that it all takes my breath way and now I left with nothing." - Love this songs so much and I have been listen to it over and over again today.

Been driving down to some where quiet and take a walk along the sea. Looking up the sky and I found a star which shinning weakly. Soon after, it was covered by the cloud like all the other stars too. The water are calm and there are a few boat on the water.

Life have been so busy lately and never really have time to slow down and take a good look at things around me. Everything seems to slow down and calm when you are sitting next to the sea. It make me feels better.

A trip down to Miri

Made my first trip down to Miri to meet an old friend and someone I care and important in my life during 27th to 29th of November. It only took about 45 to 50 minutes with a plane from Kota Kinabalu and the trip was worth it. The place is tiny and yet there are a lot of places where you can grab nice food. Love the view and the pool in the hotel that we were staying in (Miri Marriot Resort & Spa). It is a perfect place for people who would like to have sun tanning. Here are a few photos that I took from a restaurant and a hill where you can look over the town.

A Night of Salsa

What is up for November? A night of Salsa organize by my best friend Mei aka HoneyBee!! After completed my MCW projects, many must wonder if I will still continue with my dancing lesson. The answer is definitely YES!! I would like to say I like dancing now. I did stop with my Hip Hop dancing after completion of my MCW projects but I am currently continuing with Salsa dancing. I love both Hip Hop and Salsa but I would like to focus on one at a time since I am learning a few things at the moment. I am so looking forward to the Salsa Night event.

My First 10 km!!

Beverly, Me and Aaron

Beverly and I completed our first 10 km marathon in the morning of 11th October. I was actually quite nervous the night before since this is my first 10 km. I have to thank Aaron for telling me about this event, giving me tips on how to run and Beverly for joining with me.

My run started from 06:00:53 in the morning and I finished it at 07:13:37. I completed my 10km in 1hr13min25sec (earlier than expected). It felt so good to complete the run and to see the town in the early morning!!

I felt so touched to see all my friends, Angeline, Hin Ching, Lily, Mei and Roland who were there to support us (Aaron was doing his half marathon). Even though they did not make it on time to see any of us running towards the finishing line but appreciate their effort for waking up early on Sunday morning ^^

故宫, The Forbidden City

I have travelled to Beijing during their national holiday and I would like to share the photos I took and what I have seen throughout the journey with you.

Nanjing was the capital of China until 1421, when the third emperor of Ming Dynasty, Zhu Di decided to relocate the capital of China from Nanjing to Beijing. The Forbidden City is located in the middle of Beijing, China and it is surrounded by high wall. It took about 15 years and more than a million workers to complete. It is hard to imagine how did they built these palace without any construction equipment.

The "Large Stone Carving" (third picture) is the largest stone carving in the palace and it weighs more than 200 tons. It was carved out of a natural stone.

The roof are usually decorated with a pair of dragons and they believed that dragon can helps to protect the building from strike by lightning. Copper and Iron vats can be found outside of most building. These vats were part of the fire fighting equipment in palace. It will be filled with water, covered with quilts in cold weather or heated with charcoal during winter to prevent the water to freeze.

Most of the buildings are under refurbishment and they planned to complete it by year 2020.
